Jill Dockerty
PMT Behavioral Consultant
Parent-to-Parent Trainer
Receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree with summa cum laude in Elementary Education from Edgewood College in 1994, Jill spent 17 years working as an elementary teacher for the Monona Grove School District in Cottage Grove, Wisconsin. In 2011, Jill became the Assistant Director of Professional Learning at Kids’ Safari Early Learning Center as well as serving as the liaison between the center and the school district to support children in four year-old kindergarten and the after-school program.
In 2016, Jill acquired an Early Care and Education Leadership Credential through the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She supported early care and education providers around the state with ongoing learning and professional development for meeting the social and emotional needs of our youngest learners from birth through pre-school.
With her expertise in evidence-based instruction and early-literacy foundations, Jill moved to the Madison Metropolitan School District in 2015 at the Central Office to support all 52 schools in the district with special education programming and instruction, focusing on reading and literacy and math interventions as well as behavior support and interventions. Most recently, Jill worked for the Wisconsin RtI Center and the Wisconsin PBIS Network as a Regional Technical Assistance Coordinator, serving over 140 school districts to build the capacity of leadership teams and educators on continuous improvement efforts.
Jill has presented at many conferences and workshops including the annual PBIS Conference in Wisconsin, which focuses on positive behavior supports for children in the public-school setting and is a sought-after facilitator and trainer for pre-service educators and graduate level school psychologists. As a well-respected advocate for families around the state, especially for the children who are not being served well by current systems, Jill continues to be a strong voice for increased access to high quality support, care, and education.
Her passion is breaking down barriers for children with behavior and learning challenges, including children with IEPs, children who are neurodiverse, and children from historically marginalized populations.
As a Behavior Consultant with the Parent Management Training Institute, Jill will work with you to help you gain the skills and knowledge needed to transform your child’s aggressive and oppositional behavior at home and at school and to help your entire family find more peace.
